Wife of former La Crosse mayor jailed for disorderly conduct
There’s more legal trouble for the wife of a former La Crosse mayor.
Christy Kabat has been booked in the La Crosse County jail. She could appear in court today on charges of obstructing police and disorderly conduct, following incidents reported at two downtown bars.
Christy is the wife of Tim Kabat, who retired in April after two terms as mayor.
Last year, Mrs. Kabat was arrested after a confrontation with a van driver during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in downtown La Crosse.
The driver used pepper spray on Mrs. Kabat. The matter was settled in court, and she paid a fine.

Complete waste of space. Probably the only reason her husband lost his seat. She is an absolute bigot and represents all that is wrong and despicable in this society, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME …. I’m watching body cam footage of her recent arrest right now. She keeps telling the cops they “know what happened to her” and she’s acting like a monster. So, ya know, I kinda had to know what the heck she was talking about and wow. WOW. The fact that she’s still upset by how mean everyone was to her is objectively hilarious, but I feel badly that y’all good people of LaCrosse had to deal with her nonsense. Anyway, hope things are better and cool sport too.
