Jackson County murder suspect Myers gets $1 million bond in court appearance
A cash bond of $1 million has been set for Jackson County murder suspect Star Myers, who is accused of shooting a man in her own bedroom and hiding the body.
Myers is being held at the Taycheedah prison in Fond du Lac, and appeared by Zoom on Friday before Jackson County Judge Anna Becker.
Myers and four other people are facing charges connected to concealing a corpse. The Black River Falls woman is suspected of killing the victim earlier this month, and then reporting him missing.
Investigators believe the victim’s body was burned outside Myers’ house, and they found human remains there days after the disappearance was reported.
Myers will be back in court on April 19th, and has been ordered to have no contact with the four other defendants, including her son, Jeffrey Myers-Woychik.
Another defendant in the case, Gerardo Trevino, also appeared in court before the judge on Friday.
