Wisconsin state Sen. Brad Pfaff in the WIZM studio Monday for La Crosse Talk PM discussing the two-year budget — a new model for funding schools and municipalities — how the state is prepared for a RR disaster and what is “milk.”

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

Began the show talking about how a 98-year-old just ran a 5k and how that sets a terrible example for the rest of us, as over 150 Republicans signed onto legislation to increase the retirement age to 70.

After that, deep dived into the two-year budget, and the proposals to change how the state provides funding for schools and municipalities, as throughout Pfaff’s district, residents are voting to increase their property taxes to pay for schools.

Ended the show talking quick about farms and how the FDA has ruled that plant-based milk can be called “milk.”

Funding schools ; we can start with cutting SUPERINTEDANT’S PAY most make $130000 per year and rally don’t do a hell of a lot, Theacher’s make big money up to $80000 a year for 9 months of work , stop with all the new football stadiums and sports fields , there is ALOT of useless spending at school districts Let’s start there and work our way down the list , On average the state pays (with our tax money ) over $7000 per student per 9 month school year , and 70% of them cant pass a math test , COM ON MAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!
