Sarah Butler with Around River City stopped in studio to highlight what’s happening in the area this weekend from a 1970s themed roller skate night to a chili cookoff.

With spring around the corner, Butler also noted two golf cards on the site — both $79 with one for 10 rounds at Coulee Region course and another for 12 rounds in the Tri-State area.

There’s also the St. Patty’s Day .01k around the corner on March 15, happening down Pearl Street, for those who want to say they ran in a “kilometer” race and have a shirt to prove it.

Happening Friday, Butler highlights the 1970s theme night at the High Roller Skating Center of La Crosse, plus Bryce Thomaschefsky playing at Cat Daddy’s Bar & Grill in Trempealeau.

Saturday features the Spunky Bumpkins at the Alpine Inn and Pulse 8 at Our Corner Bar.

And, on Sunday, perhaps the best for last, a chili cookoff at the Mirage Sports Bar on La Crosse’s south side.
