Several hundred people came out on a blustery Saturday afternoon to take part in the Worlds shortest run-walk.

WIZM’s sister station 95.7 The Rock held its 20th annual .01K run walk on Pearl Street outside of Brothers Bar.

Dressed in green, the runners and walkers braved the 32-point-8 feet of the course all in good fun.

There was also a local version of the Blarney Stone that people could kiss as part of the celebration.

While it was a way to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day and a beer or two, there was a serious cause behind Saturday’s event. The money raised from the event goes to support the Hunger Task Force that helps fight hunger in the Coulee Region.
