The 7th annual Rotary iFeed food drive is this Saturday, November 6th, from 9 am til noon at area high schools. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Logan, La Crosse Central, Aquinas, Onalaska, West Salem, Holmen, and Caledonia.

Interact is a service club in local High Schools that is sponsored by our area Rotary Clubs, encouraging students to get involved in the community and volunteer. Interact is the high school equivalent of Rotary and has a mission of bringing together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.

The Interact clubs have also done shoe drives, and river clean-ups in addition to numerous forms of food collection, including their biggest event of the year, iFeed. Food raised at iFeed this year will be donated to Hunger Task Force and distributed to local food pantries.

iFeed has collected over 30,000 food items annually to help fill our local food pantries. The food items are counted, sorted and trucked to the Hunger Task Force where the food will be distributed to Coulee Region food banks.

In past years, there has also been a team meal packing event during iFeed to be shipped to Nicaragua, but due to COVID related issues, there will not be the meal packing aspect of the event this year.

For more information on Saturday’s event, follow iFeed on Facebook or head to their website.

Leah and Becca from Logan High School and Jacob from Central High School joined Mid-West Family morning shows this week to encourage the community to donate to the drive and Z93’s Zcare donated to support their efforts.

Tracy has worked at Mid-West Family La Crosse since 2004. She is half of the Z93 Morning Buzz with Brittany and Ballzer and coordinates Z93's charity, Zcare. She writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse and announces for the Mississippi Valley Mayhem Roller Derby team.
