Investigators say 23-year-old Nemo Yang took two bank bags containing near $6,000 from Smokey’s Tavern in Holmen in early September.

The bags reportedly contained money from pull tab sales and a poker machine.

Yang also was stopped this week outside Castaways Bar on French Island for driving a car stolen from Trempealeau County.

Police found meth and other drugs in the car.

Yang said the car was borrowed from a friend, and didn’t know it was stolen.
