Families in need will be able to get food, household items and even toys in time for the holidays this Saturday.

WAFER Food Pantry in La Crosse is set for it’s monthly “Food Fair,” where it will be giving out boxes of free food and personal/household essentials. It also has five pallets worth of toys and books to give away.

The drive-thru event runs from 10 a.m. to noon at 403 Causeway Blvd. (map). Volunteers will deliver the packages into trunks or back seats.

Feed the Children will bring a semi to serve up to 400 families. Channel One will be bringing frozen foods and assorted produce for the first 300 families.

This distribution is available to anyone in need. There is no pre-registration required and no proof of income. A photo ID is needed, however.

WAFER could also use some more volunteers. If you wish to do that or just have questions about the event, call 608-782-6003 or visit www.waferlacrosse.org.
