Food giveaway Thursday in Holmen for those in need

For those who are in need, a food distribution event will be held in Holmen on Thursday afternoon.

Anyone earning 300% or less of the federal poverty guideline can expect to be given quite a lot of food.

The “Truck to Trunk” event takes place from 2-4 p.m. at the Holmen Area Community Center/Boys and Girls Club (map) with the help of the WAFER Food Pantry.

Each package will include canned goods and approximately 25-30 pounds of frozen items such as cheese, butter and meat.

Pre-registration or proof of income are not required.

All cars in line by 4 p.m. will receive a package.
