La Crosse man accused of striking hospital nurse

A 66-year-old La Crosse man is accused of hitting a nurse while visiting the emergency room at Mayo Clinic. 

Michael Baskerville appeared in court on Tuesday, to face charges of battery and disorderly conduct. 

While Baskerville was putting on his clothes after being examined at the Mayo emergency ward on Monday, he reportedly became upset with the nurse and punched her on the arm. 

Baskerville denies that he intentionally struck the nurse, claiming that his arm was cramping up and he pushed her away.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
