La Crosse’s City Brewery to pick up most of Pabst production, according to beer industry report

The City Brewery of La Crosse is scheduled to make most of Pabst Brewing’s products within five years.   

A brewing industry website (brewbound.com) reports that a pact between Pabst and the La Crosse-based brewery is slated to last until 2040. 

Pabst beers have been produced recently by MillerCoors, but a few years ago, Miller said it did not have the capacity to continue the contract past 2025. 

City Brewery was founded as a replacement for La Crosse’s Heileman brewery, which closed its local plant in 1999.
