Asleep At The Wheel Turns To Crash

Minor injuries were reported in Juneau County Saturday after a woman fell

asleep while driving and crashed her car into a tree. Vernon County Sheriff John Spears said 29 year old Kathryn Madden of Elroy was driving Saturday in Hillsboro when she fell asleep and her car crossed the center line and left the road then struck a tree.

Madden and three minor children sustained minor injuries. Madden and two minor children were taken to a hospital in Hillsboro. The other child was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital by a family member.

 

The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
