Hunger Task Force A Winner On Sunday
When you think of Super Bowl Sunday, think of donating food to the La Crosse
Hunger Task Force. That’s what task force director Shelly Fortner hopes people in La Crosse were doing yesterday for the big football game. More than 30 area taverns took part in the ‘Soup-er Bowl’ food drive, and Fortner said each bar was allowed to do its own promotions to help increase the donations:
In last year’s food campaign, five thousand pounds of food were collected for the Hunger Task Force. Totals for this year should be available in a few days.
