Forest Hills Manager Pleased with Course Design

The new configuration of La Crosse’s Forest Hills golf course will actually make the course bigger.   Not something course manager Keith Stoll was expecting when he learned that the course would have to be reconfigured to make room for a second set of Burlington Northern tracks.  But the plan is to push the course deeper into Hixon forest, making the 100 year-old course more modern, says Stoll, and more playable

Burlington Northern is paying for the design and construction of the updated course which will no longer straddle the tracks at two holes.  The rail company will also pay for the half million dollar tunnel that will go underneath the tracks.  Stoll says that all could be done in a year.
