WIZM Mayoral Debate No. 1 — TOP ROW: WIZM's Kaitlyn Riley, Scott Robert Shaw and UW-L's Dr. Anthony Chergosky; MIDDLE: Candidates Greg Saliaras, Jessica Olson and Chris Stolpa. BOTTOM ROW: Katherine Blanchard and Mitch Reynolds.

Only two weeks to get to know the 10 candidates running to be La Crosse’s next mayor, as in-person absentee voting begins Tuesday in La Crosse.

And, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, WIZM is hosting its second and final mayoral primary debate.

WIZM split the field into groups of five for its two debates. Tuesday’s debate will include Martin Gaul, Zebulan Kemp, Joe Konradt, Vicki Markussen, and Samuel Schneider.

Questions range from policing, to the $42 million La Crosse Center project to the long-term goals of the city in battling climate change, and the business climate of the city — related to COVID-19 and simply attracting new businesses.

You can listen to the debate on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM or watch on the big screen through ROKU or Apple TV by downloading the Around River City channel.

Otherwise the debate will pop up in the video below or click here. The first debate can be viewed at any time, as will the second after it airs.
