Two hospitalized, 25 more COVID-19 cases in La Crosse; Trempealeau, Jackson report deaths

Another 25 cases and two La Crosse County residents hospitalized Thursday with COVID-19.

So far this month, there have been 33 hospitalized from the county. Last month, there were 71 total.

Case wise, La Crosse is now averaging 54.6 a day over the past week. Last week that average was 68.

In surrounding counties, Trempealeau reported two deaths Thursday and Jackson one. Trempealeau is up to 32 deaths — eight in the past 17 days. Five of those were reported Dec. 28.

Jackson County has 18 total deaths — 10 in the past month, but first since Dec. 30.

Here’s a look at new cases, the average the past week, total and active cases, as well as current hospitalizations in surrounding counties:

Statewide, Wisconsin added another 2,712 cases, 99 hospitalizations and 42 deaths Thursday.

Minnesota added 1,598 cases, 95 hospitalizations and 43 deaths.
