A fire that broke out at the Blair House Sports Bar & Grill Friday morning destroyed the local business.

The fire was reported around 9:03 Nov. 13 at 107 W Broadway St. in the City of Blair. The Blair/Preston Fire Department and 13 other responding departments battled the blaze.

“Sincere thanks to the overwhelming support from local businesses and private persons donating food and drink to support the firefighters,” City of Blair Police Chief Kent Johnson said in a statement.

Nobody was hurt in the fire. Two adjacent buildings also sustained damage because of spoke and water, and the American Red Cross is helping displaced residents.

Assisting department were: Whitehall, Hixton, Taylor, Black River Falls, Ettrick, Arcadia, Independence, Hale, Strum, Pigeon Falls, Galesville, Trempealeau, and Osseo.
