La Crosse County adds 15 cases, three now hospitalized

Another 15 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County, bringing the total to 536.

Of that total, 188 are considered still active. Three are known to be hospitalized — up two from Tuesday.

The county has now had 408 cases since June 16, when the first report of over 20 cases came in. The county then had 11 consecutive days of 20 or more cases.

In the past week, the county has averaged 10 cases per day.

Seven of Wednesday’s 15 cases in the county were people aged 20-29. One case was a 15-19 year old.

In surrounding counties, Trempealeau has now gone back-to-back days with double-digit cases. The county added 11 Wednesday, after a single-day high 14 on Tuesday. Trempealeau has had 169 total cases — 57 still active.

Winona added two more cases and is now at 131.

Houston (28 total cases) and Buffalo (10) counties each added one case.

Statewide, Wisconsin added another 598 cases, 44 hospitalizations and two deaths.

Minnesota reported 463 cases, eight deaths.

Iowa reported 414 more cases and seven deaths in a 24-hour period that began at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The state does not report daily numbers.
