One La Crosse historic site will get a partial makeover this year.

The city’s Heritage Preservation Commission approved the replacement of some clay roofing tiles at the Pettibone Beach House.

About 80 tiles would be replaced at the building to be done by Ledegar Roofing, according to Leah Burns from the city’s parks and rec. department.

Some new tiles might have to be made to replace the old ones at the beach house.

Money from the La Crosse Community Foundation will be used for the renovation.
