4-star rating for Tomah VA nursing home
4 out of 5 rating shows no change from last year
Conditions at the Tomah VA hospital have come under fire in recent years, but the VA nursing home at Tomah is rated highly among facilities of its kind.
According to numbers released by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Tomah’s overall ranking is 4 stars out of a possible 5…marking no change from a year ago.
It also gets 4 stars from survey results, with 3 stars in two other areas.
That compares to a Minneapolis VA hospital, which has a general rating of 4 stars, but gets 5 stars in two categories.
This is the first time the VA has publicly disclosed quality ratings for its 134 nursing homes around the U.S.
