A full police dog sweep of the Black River Falls high school is among the measures the district is taking in the wake of a threat Wednesday afternoon.

The district reports a threat was scrawled inside a boys bathroom at the high school which stated someone was going to shoot at the high school.

The school is open today but on full alert.

After a complete police sweep this morning to insure the building is clear, students will have to enter through one of two entrances at the high school. At each entrance, students will have to go through a metal detector and be searched if necessary.

Middle school students will also go through a metal detector and get searched if necessary.

The district says 18 police officers will be on site at the Black River Falls schools today.

The district has asked that parents call in if their children will not be attending school today.
