Woodland and marsh trails closed in La Crosse

City parks and rec. dept. working with volunteers to clear areas. 

Last night’s heavy storms and winds has caused the city of La Crosse to close woodland and marsh trails.

Multiple sections of the trails are blocked by downed trees, have been severely washed out and are extremely muddy.

Traversing those trails, and leaving footprints, will only cause further maintenance requirements.

The parks department and volunteers are working now to clear those rehab trails and will inform the public when they’re safe again.
