Eagles were 3-0 vs. Titans during regular season.

Heading into hosting the NCAA Division III regional, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse softball team had beaten UW-Oshkosh three times this season.

In the regional, however, the unranked Titans got their revenge, defeated the 24th-ranked Eagles twice, ending their season.

UW-O took down UW-L 8-3 on Sunday, after sending the Eagles to the elimination bracket on Saturday, 4-2.

The Eagles (30-16) opened the tourney with a 2-1 win over St. Norbert thanks to a Sarah Mueller RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to break a 1-1 game.

The Titans (33-11) then took down UW-L 4-2. The Eagles came back with a 4-1 win over Benedictine, forcing the Sunday rematch with UW-O.

UWL’s Jessie Carignan, Katie Klein, Grace Mindrup and Sydney Murphy were named to the regional all-tournament team.
