Prince tribute concert sold out immediately, while MN Orchestra pays tribute at Vikings game
Oct. 13 concert will be in St. Paul, not Prince’s hometown
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Fans have snapped up tickets to next month’s Prince tribute concert in St. Paul.
Tickets to the Oct. 13 concert went on sale at 10 a.m. Monday and were gone instantly. The tickets ranged from $19.99 to $152.50.
Originally, the concert was going to be held at U.S. Bank Stadium – the Vikings new home in Minneapolis, which is also Prince’s hometown – but it will now take place at the Xcel Arena in St. Paul.
Sunday night, the Minnesota Orchestra did pay tribute to Prince at the Vikings-Packers game – the opening night of playing at the billion-dollar stadium.

Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer and Tori Kelly are among performers lined up for the concert sanctioned by Prince’s family.
Prince’s family originally planned to hold the show at the new NFL stadium in his hometown of Minneapolis. However, organizers said last week that it will be at the smaller Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
