Wisconsin ranks fourth in ACT composite score

Twenty states require all students to take test

The mandatory ACT test were mandatory in Wisconsin and 19 other states last year.

The scores from those tests show Wisconsin ranked fourth in overall composite score (20.5). 

Most districts saw a drop in score, which was not a surprise says Mike Lichucki, director of curriculum with the La Crosse School District.

“The ACT expected that there would be anywhere between a 1.3 and a 1.8 drop,” he said. 

La Crosse says it will release its numbers in late September, while Onalaska had a composite score of 22.7. West Salem averaged 21.1.
