Man reported him dead, needed multiple doses Narcan

The latest Narcan revival from a heroin overdose in La Crosse took a couple of doses. 

La Crosse firefighters had to administer the Narcan to a 20-year-old man that an office worker found in the women’s restroom on the second floor of the King on 5th building downtown Wednesday afternoon around noon.

On the second floor – just doors down from the needle exchange at the Aids Resource Center, which is setting a record this year for the number of hypodermic needles distributed for illicit drug use.  

Police say the man was reported dead. They gave him Narcan and he immediately started breathing and talking. He admitted to using heroin.

Police arrested him for an outstanding warrant but let him slide on a possession charge.
