Herlitzka named Mrs. Oktoberfest

Mrs. O was busy last month with Steppin’ Out In Pink

The first woman to become a partner in one La Crosse law firm is the latest Mrs. Oktoberfest. 

Peggy Herlitzka was introduced as the 2015 Mrs. O during a dinner Tuesday night at the Cargill Room downtown. 

Herlitzka says a couple of previous Mrs. O’s sprang the news months ago by making her think she was going to take part in a mentoring project. 

Herlitzka has been in La Crosse since the late 1980s, practicing law at the Hale Skemp firm. She was busy earlier this month in organizing the Steppin’ Out in Pink fund-raiser.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
