What to do about the La Crosse Center repairs

Consultant hasn’t been very helpful

The La Crosse Center needs repair, and that has created a dilemma.

Center officials are struggling with the decision to fix what really needs repair, or make big changes all at once. 

While they ponder the answer, they’re preparing a list of priorities the facility needs for the city council.

Center manager Art Fahey says a consultant hasn’t been too specific about certain suggestions, such as ‘get new doors.’ 

While reviewing the wish list this week, center board members said they were concerned that cost estimates for some renovations were a bit high – estimates that had come in around $75 million.
