More Artist Venues Will Inspire More Art

Fans of the performing arts had plenty of chances this weekend to sample local talent during the Artspire festival downtown.  There could be more performances to bring audiences to the central city in the future, if plans for a new downtown arts venue come to pass. Downtown Mainstreet director Robin Moses says people in the city will quickly realize that adding more to the art presence will make for a more thriving downtown.  She’s been involved with talks about developing new performance space for UWL, or an extra stage for the La Crosse Center.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
