Park Board Discusses Power Loading Fines

How much of a fine should a boat owner get for ‘power-loading’ at a La Crosse harbor?  The city park board sets the penalty at 250 dollars.  The discussion of fines follows repeated damage to the municipal boat dock on Isle La Plume, with many boaters trying to push their boats up to the trailer instead of taking the trailer to the water.  Park director Steve Carlyon said if the fine was too little or too much, no one would care.
