Town Of Holland Sues PSC

Saying that the Public Service Commission needs to better analyze and improve an Environmental Impact Statement, the Town of Holland is suing the PSC over the Badger Coulee Line project. The suit, according to Town Chair, Town Chair Kathy Warzynski also asks the court find the Town cannot be forced to accept another, separate right of way for a power line that is supposed to be justified on the basics of economics.

And Warzynski says it’s a case of the PSC just wanting to do whatever they want no matter what.

ATC and Xcel Energy are expected to start negotiations with landowners along the route next month. Construction on the project won’t start until next spring.
