Girl Hurt Jumping From Van

A teenage girl is suffering serious injuries after jumping from a moving van. It happpened yesterday morning near the Town of MIlton in Monroe County. The 16 year old rural Tomah girl was in a van traveling east about 11:30 yesterday morning when she jumped from the moving van. The girl was taken by helicopter to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse where she was last reported in critical condition. It is not clear why the girl jumped from the moving van or how fast it was traveling at the time. The Monroe County Sheriff’s office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating.
