Boundary Agreements Discussed

Twenty years ago, La Crosse and Onalaska carried on a bitter boundary feud,

over land in the Valley View Mall area.

 

Now, the two cities and the Town of Medary are preparing to sit down again to work out new boundary agreements.  Onalaska land use director Brea Grace says the proposed new talks resulted from a study by the La Crosse Area Planning Committee:

Grace says some property owners have asked to annex to Onalaska recently, to gain access to city utilities.  The future discussions could focus on boundaries in the area of Theater Road and County Road O-S.
