Doubtful That Iron Mine Comes Back

The failure of a proposed iron ore mine project in northern Wisconsin may extend beyond the company who planned the mine.  All iron ore mining in Ashland and Iron counties may be done for awhile, says Amber Meyer Smith with the group, Clean Wisconsin.  There’s just not enough money in it, as Gogebic Taconite discovered

Gogebic announced an end to their plans for an iron ore mine late last week.  The company largely blamed the potential problems of dealing with fed regulators.
