BNSF Wants That Second Set Of Tracks

Two miles.  That’s really all that Burlington Northern needs.

Two miles of new parallel railroad tracks through the La Crosse marsh.  The reason for a DNR public hearing in La Crosse Wednesday.  A tiny little chunk of the company’s entire network of rail throughout the nation, says spokesperson, Amy McBeth

Burlington Northern’s plan for a second set of tracks through La Crosse also includes a two mile stretch from State road to the marsh.  That section is already under construction.
