Hunters Bolting to Stores for Crossbows

Interest has been high for crossbow hunting in Wisconsin this fall.  The state is allowing all hunters to use crossbows for the first time for the deer archery season.  At La Crosse archery in Onalaska, Anthony Schmidt says he’s had huge interest in crossbows.  But has also had to clear up some misconceptions about how lethal they are

The advantage, Schmidt says, is that while a compound bow will take some time to get comfortable with, you can load a bolt into a crossbow and be ready to hit the woods that day. Archery season begins next month.
