Go Red Today
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease causes one in
three women’s deaths each year, killing approximately one woman every minute. An estimated 43 million women in the U.S. are affected by heart disease and 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease. Several reasons that this is Go Red today in honor of beating the disease.
Heather Whitney with Mayo in La Crosse tells us that education is the key.
Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease in women and they ask all women to wear red today.
