MADD Award Winner Vows to Continue Pushing Law Changes
A lawmaker hailed as a legislative hero by Mothers Against Drunk Driving says he would keep up the work if he becomes attorney general. Democratic assemblyman Jon Richards is recently cited by MADD for his work on drunk driving enforcement laws. Still a way to go with those laws, says Richards.
Although Richards commits to supporting tougher drunk driving laws as attorney general, he sidesteps the question of whether the state should make a first time drunk driving conviction a crime.
