Military sexual assaults took center stage this morning on the senate floor
in Washington D.C. More than 30 reforms on sexual assault are included in the National Defense Authorization Act. Minnesota Senator, Amy Klobuchar spoke of the severity of sexual assaults in the military just in 2012 alone.
Of those, only 3,300 were reported, and only 302 of those were prosecuted. The proposed reforms are expected to be debated before the Thanksgiving recess.
