Aquinas Middle School Named Blue Ribbon School

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today recognized Aquinas Middle

School in La Crosse as one of 286 schools in the 2013 cohort of National Blue Ribbon Schools. The recognition is based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in improving student academic achievement.

 

The program recognizes schools in one of two performance categories. Aquinas Middle School was honored as exemplary high performing, in which schools are recognized among their state’s highest performing schools.

 

The Department will honor the schools at a recognition ceremony in November in Washington, D.C.
