Vernon County Crash Sends One To Hospital

A trip to a wayside has led to a trip to the hospital for a Texas

man. It happened just after noon Monday on Highway 35, just North of Spring Coulee Road in the Town of Bergen. 58 year old Bruce Gunhus of Fort Worth, Texas was pulling into a wayside between Genoa and Stoddard when he lost control of the bike. Gunhus was thrown off as the bike went into a ditch.

 

Gunhus was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Gunderson Health System in LaCrosse by Med-Link Air with Life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
