Hi Brad. I enjoyed this morning your words and phrases that bug you. I have a few I wish to share of which you may also have agreement.
My pet peeve with many TV announcers is mispronunciations of these words:
Reconize- recognize
Tempacher- temperature
Exscape- escape
Football announcers and “hook and ladder “ play – hook and lateral play
Snuck is not a word. Sneaked is correct.
Dove forward – dived forward
Lack of proper adverbs such as “ We played perfect” rather than we played perfectly.
