Trump headed back to Wisconsin for campaign rally

Donald Trump is headed back to Wisconsin.

The former president will make a campaign stop in Waukesha on May 1.

Trump will hold a 2 p.m. rally at the Waukesha County Expo Center with doors opening at 11 a.m. The president will then travel to Freeland, Mich., for a 6 p.m. rally.

Waukesha is expected to be Trump’s first rally since the so called “hush money” or “election interference” trial began in New York. It falls on a Wednesday, in which he is typically not required in court.

Trump was to campaign in North Carolina last weekend, but cancelled due to rain.

The news comes just days after Vice President Kamala Harris made a campaign stop in La Crosse. Harris also visited Waukesha back in January.

In early April, Trump campaigned in Green Bay. Trump last campaigned in La Crosse back in April of 2016 for a rally at the La Crosse Center when he was first running for president.

He also held the rally in West Salem a week before the 2020 election, and stayed at the Charmant one night in August of 2016, before speaking at a private event downtown.

“The bottom line is that the Badger State is suffering under Biden, and President Trump will once again deliver safety and affordability to Wisconsin!” the Trump campaign stated.

Those wishing to attend the May 1 rally can register for up to two tickets.
