Bond has been set at $750,000 for La Crosse County murder suspect Alan Fry, who’s accused of fatally shooting his stepfather last week.

Fry

The 41-year-old Fry was arrested after Thursday night’s shooting at a house on Farnam Street.

He failed to show up for an initial court appearance Friday.

Fry reportedly shot the victim three times and then fired seven more shots before the arrest.

He is charged with 1st degree murder and felony possession of a firearm.

Fry, who is also suspected of setting a house fire the same night as the shooting, is currently in La Crosse County jail.

A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 31.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this did not incorrectly stated Fry was on house arrest.

Why wasn’t Mr Fry arrested, and jailed instead of house arrest after shooting his step Father 10 times, and starting a house fire .
