Flying in or out of the La Crosse Airport, the odds are very good that flight won’t be delayed or cancelled.

A nationwide study of airports by a private jet service called Jettly ranked the La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE) No. 2 in the nation for reliability, behind an airport in Montana.

The study examined the total number of delays, cancelations, and diversions for more than 390 American airports, using data provided by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics

In La Crosse, only 9.3 percent of 743 flights in the first eight months of this year had issues which led to delays or cancellation. Just 12 flights in all at LSE had to be cancelled between January and August of 2023.

Public airports in Rhinelander, Wis., and in Hibbing, Minn., also ranked in the Top 5.

Out of 390 airports included in the study, the only one with a better rating was Bert Mooney Airport in Butte, Montana, with only 8.8 percent of its flights being cancelled, diverted, or delayed.
