Emma Garrison named 2023 Miss La Crosse-Oktoberfest

The new Miss La Crosse-Oktoberfest was chosen last weekend.

Emma Garrison won the title Saturday night from a field of nearly a dozen contestants.

Garrison’s community service initiative focuses on ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

Following Oktoberfest, Garrison will represent La Crosse in the next Miss Wisconsin contest in the Miss America program.

Other members of the 2023 Oktoberfest royal family will be announced this week, with the start of the fest less than three weeks away.

The parade marshals for the Maple Leaf and Torchlight Parades are scheduled to be introduced Wednesday and the name of the new Mrs. Oktoberfest will be revealed next Saturday.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
