The La Crosse Area Autism Foundation has been providing resources, events and grants to help those in the community affected by autism for over 10 years. This weekend, they are hosting two fundraisers for their foundation.

Diane Block, the foundation’s Treasurer, told Z93 they are set up to help anyone in the La Crosse Area that has autism. They do annual grants that teachers who have students on the spectrum can apply for classroom needs. “If a parent or a person needs something in particular, they can go on our site to apply for funds to help with, say, an iPad for communication.”

These programs needs funds, and that’s where our community comes in. The La Crosse Area Autism Foundation is hosting two fundraisers this weekend.

The All In for Autism Poker Ride is Saturday, August 26th with registration at 10a and leaving at 11a. The ride starts and ends at Angry’s Way Out on Brice Prairie and expects to return around 5p, just in time to support Brice Prairie EMS and Rescue for their Rockin’ The Prairie fundraiser.

Vice President Nick Wenzel shared that all vehicles are welcome at the poker ride. “If you’ve got a tank, I’ll ride with you,” Wenzel joked.

The 6th Annual Fundraiser for Autism is Sunday, August 27th at Holmen American Legion. The event will have raffles, food, bake sale, silent auction, music and more from 11a-4p.

If you’re unable to attend this weekend’s event but able to support, you can donate on the foundation’s website.
