A day after the election, perhaps the biggest question going forward in La Crosse hovers around the future plans for the school district, and that’s what we spent most of Wednesday’s La Crosse Talk PM discussing.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:07 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

The district’s plan to build a new high school for $194.7 million only got about 30% of the vote.

WIZM’s Brad Williams joined to break down the news conference La Crosse School superintendent, Dr. Aaron Engel, and School Board president, Dr. Juan Jimenez had earlier Wednesday.

We also worked in La Crosse County clerk Ginny Dankmeyer and her post-election day hangover. Dankmeyer worked 22 consecutive hours through election day. We discussed how everything went and what’s left to do, including a possible La Crosse County sheriff race recount.
