La Crosse averaging 312 COVID-19 cases per day — 64.3% vaccinated
COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County have jumped 123% since Dec. 17.
The positive test percentage has increased 28.3% since that time.
The county is now averaging 312 cases per day over the past week, according to the La Crosse County Health Department. One county resident died over that time, as well.
There are 47 counties in Wisconsin at a critically high COVID-19 activity level. The rest are at the “very high” level.
The health department is asking people consider rescheduling events and gatherings as well as finding a safer ways to do daily activities.
“You may consider moving your gathering outside or to a well ventilated area, requiring masks indoors, and limiting the number of people attending,” the department said.
Meanwhile, statewide, Wisconsin is averaging 9,675 cases, 27 COVID deaths a day over the past week.
The positivity rate in Wisconsin is now 27.6%
With vaccinations, 58.6% of Wisconsin has gotten two doses.
