The La Crosse County Board approved this redistricting map on Nov. 8, 2021.

Approving the redistricting map for La Crosse County didn’t take much of the board’s time on Monday night.

Only two people from the public spoke at a hearing on proposed new district maps.

With no debate, the board unanimously passed the maps at a special hearing (agenda here) held an hour before the regular monthly county meeting.

To reflect growth outside the city, there will be 17 seats on the board for the next decade, an increase of one seat over the current size, while the city of La Crosse will continue to have 13 districts.

The new map will be used in the upcoming April elections.
